Since qualifying Tim has worked with a variety of populations through his time working at Santry Sports Surgery Clinic, the leading private orthopaedic hospital in Ireland with both a national and international reputation for orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine. He developed an array of treatment techniques from treating a wide variety of conditions such as knee and hip osteoarthritis, shoulder conditions and rehabilitating clients post-operatively, in particular from ACL reconstruction.

His main area of clinical interest is in sports and musculoskeletal conditions having gained extensive experience in these areas during his time working in the Sports Surgery clinics and with his time spent thus far with Cavan Under 20s GAA. As part of his undergraduate research, Tim wrote a dissertation on the ‘Association between rate of force development in the shoulder girdle and shoulder injuries in Senior schoolboy rugby players in Ireland’ for which he was awarded a First Class Honor’s and the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists ‘Student Research Prize’.

Tim has a significant personal interest in individualised athletic development through the use of bio-feedback devices such as the PUSH band and force plate analysis. He also takes a holistic approach to treatments, incorporating knowledge gained from extensive professional development courses including nutrition and fascial stretch therapy to assist clients to achieve their goals.

He is committed to CPD and evidence-based practice and has completed a number of postgraduate courses such as Dry Needling technique and Fascial Stretch Therapy. Tim attends a number of international conferences annually.

In addition to his role at GB Sports Physio Tim is currently physiotherapist for the Cavan Under 20s GAA team.
