What Is It?
High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is the latest clinically proven technology for non-surgical facial lifting and painless treatment, resulting in an improvement in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in just one session.
It uses ultrasound energy to create a wound-healing response resulting in the formation of new collagen to lift and tighten the skin.
How Does It Work?
HIFU uses focused ultrasound energy to target the layers of skin just below the surface. The ultrasound energy causes the tissue to heat up rapidly.

Once the cells in the targeted area reach a certain temperature, they experience cellular damage. While this may seem counterintuitive, the damage stimulates the cells to produce more collagen — a protein that provides structure to the skin. The increase in collagen results in tighter and firmer skin.
Generally, a noticeable improvement in the patient's facial contouring and fine lines and wrinkles will be visible within four weeks while further improvement in facial skin tightening and wrinkles will be seen up to six weeks after treatment.
